5 DIY Non Toxic Housekeeping Cleaners

Homemade cleaners only need ingredients that are already in your pantry. Clean almost every part of your home knowing that your health won’t be comprised, compared to store bought cleaners which can contain harmful ingredients. This list of super simple cleaners are non toxic and inexpensive, make your life easier and healthier.

All Purpose Cleaner

Combine 2 teaspoons of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of castile soap and 1/2 cup of white vinegar with 1 lire of distilled water in a glass bottle – a cleaner perfect for almost all parts of your home.

Homemade Glass Cleaner

Mix equal parts of rubbing alcohol and water with a tablespoon of vinegar, perfect on glass.

Kitchen Scrub

Combine 4 tablespoons of castile soap, 4 tablespoons of baking soda with 5 drops of rosemary oil and 3 drops of water. Apply, scrub then rinse and wipe off.

Mould and Mildew Remover

Mix 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, and 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil. Spray onto the mildew area, after 5 minutes wipe off with a clean wet cloth.

Hardwood Floor Cleaner

Combine 3 litres of warm water with 1/2 cup of white vinegar, and 2 drops of lemon essential oil. Mop your floors or hand wash with a microfibre cloth.
