Therapeutic Bath Soak

This is one of my favourite recipes for a quick and relaxing bath soak. I have included three staple essential oils for balancing mood and promoting a restful night’s sleep! This original recipe is from Dr. Mariza Snyder’s book, author of the smart mom’s Essential Oils.

Lavender is wonderful for creating an all-over calm throughout the mind and body. Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils because it’s a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to supporting the body. A favorite for promoting overall balance in the body, it also quickly eases feelings of tension and stress.

Clary Sage calms states of tension and anxiety-fatigue, Depression. As women reach menopausal years, the use of antidepressants begins to increase dramatically. Clary sage may help to ease this stressful transition of life, reducing cortisol levels and exhibiting and antidepressant-like effect Clary Sage is known for lightening your mood and reducing nervous tension. Just a few drops on the bottom of your feet can work wonders!

Frankincense is best known for its soothing and rejuvenating properties. It can be used aromatically, topically, and internally. Frankincense promotes feelings of relaxation, satisfaction, peace, and overall wellness when inhaled or diffused. Read more about Frankincense here.
