Chair Affair Is Back And Better Than Ever!

Last year was my first ever Chair Affair experience. I had no idea what to expect or what my chair would help raise for Furniture Bank. I learned my involvement last year allowed for 175 families across the GTA to furnish homes with dignity and compassion which helped change the lives of 450 people….forever! This year the Furniture Bank is focused on raising the funds needed to provide services and furniture to over 500 additional families with all of the designers/upholsterers help we are confident we will achieve this goal. I was so thrilled to receive the email from Furniture Bank a couple weeks ago with the info for this years event. Due to popular demand we had to sign up on different days/times to be able to pick our chairs from the Furniture Bank’s current inventory. Of course I signed up for first pick! As I was perusing the furniture selections I found a few pieces that caught my eye and I wavered between them both as to their potential for raising the funds for this special event. In my heart I couldn’t say no, to either piece, so I chose both! My brain is full of so many ideas on their transformations it’s going to be challenging to narrow it down to one theme for both of them.

The Furniture Bank Gala will be held at casalife -350 Evans Avenue Toronto again this year on Friday November 3rd at 7pm. Entertainment again this year (with my absolute fave musician from my youth) Lawrence Gowan (now with Styx) and friends, DJ Manifest and surprises still in the works. As I’m typing this my mouth is salivating remembering the food! Food stations from some of Toronto’s finest restaurants and caterers, host bars and Chef Michael Smith will be back again with a delectable feast for the taste buds. I don’t know how he can top last years Bloody Mary Oysters (fresh from PEI)….was soooooo delicious!!

Auctions this year with our creations will be LIVE (that evening), online and silent. More details to come in the months leading up to this fabulous event! If you don’t have the time but would like to support Furniture Bank’s Chair Affair 2017 please contact Chad Brincheski at 416-997-0914 or chad@espinc.ca or if you’d like to purchase tickets in advance they are available now at www.furniturebank.org . I cannot wait to see the transformations for this years Chair Affair…it’s going to be AMAZING!!

Happy sitting, Hope
