Unlike other teas, Matcha, has a number of supplementary steps in the cycle of production – shade grown Camellia sinensis plants, hand picked, steamed stem and de-veined removal, and the granite ground milling process into a very fine powder. Matcha Green Tea powder is then stored away from light and oxygen in order to preserve its brilliant green colour and antioxidant properties.
