Firstly I have to acknowledge and thank you all for the 100’s of emails and 100’s of DM on Instagram asking after my husband and his health. Maria for the recipe for your grandmother’s chicken soup, the gorgeous leather handmade slippers from Beth and all the e-cards we received. My sincerest and my most heartfelt thanks to all of you, for the support and love, we were both overwhelmed.
The countdown to Christmas has started, according to my daughter it’s only sixteen sleeps till Santa Claus arrives at our home with a special gift for her from her Santa Wish List, and Santa has the chance to sample her homemade ginger cookies complete with red and green frosting. Is there something really wrong with picking out or organizing your own Christmas gift?? We have been featuring Kim from Kim Knits gorgeous hand knitted capelets in our Christmas Gift Guides, I decided I absolutely needed one – for Christmas of course! All of Kim’s capelets are unique, mine is being made from mid-weight Canadian black wool with highlight of silver thread and black leather woven throughout. I can’t wait till Christmas morning to open my “gift”. We are headed to the Toronto Christmas Market this evening, visiting master jeweller Leif Benner in the Case Good Warehouse and calling to see lovely Lisa at Mint Boutique. If you have never been to the The Distillery District or the Toronto Christmas Market, it’s well worth the time, one-of-a-kind gifts to purchase from the many different vendors. I just had to share with you a picture of this stunning arrangement made by Tammy at Flower Smart, I am completely in love with apples, so creative!! Visit Tammy’s Instagram page, it’s filled with beautiful blooms and gift ideas.
