How was your week? My week flew by……. today sees us driving to Blue Mountain for a change of scenery over the weekend and then our great nephew’s 4th Birthday celebration on Sunday afternoon. It will be our last family gathering before Christmas, my daughter can’t wait to spend time with her cousins. We have a very interesting family dynamic as my daughter is actually the youngest child in all of my husband’s family but her first cousins are all 20 years plus older than her, so she calls them Aunt and Uncle and then plays with their children as her first cousins. It may change in her late teens but for now it works for us and our family, I believe in the acknowledgement of respect and love in a family are paramount.
Thanksgiving and Halloween are over for all of us in Canada but I am not quite ready to pull out the Christmas decor yet despite that the fact that each and every store has Christmas things in each aisle, so I still have some of my pretty glittery pumpkins out. I’m also sharing a few details of the updates I have made in our master bedroom in the last few weeks, a set of gorgeous new bedlinen from Gluckstein Home (it’s on sale in-store at The Bay) and adding a stunning etched mirror to sit atop of our Queen Anne tallboy.
P/S On this day of Remembrance, may we all take time to reflect and give thanks to all of those men and women who laid down their lives for us to live and flourish in a countries of freedom and democracy. At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning, We Will Remember Them – Lest We Forget.
