MY TASTING NOTES
Pale in colour, light and crisp with tropical fruit and citrus notes. Flavours of pineapple, grapefruit and lime with a clean finish of lingering fruit tingle. Perfect with shellfish and a herbed couscous salad.
REVIEW
Wilfred Wong of Wine.com – “The 2014 Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc is so New Zealand! Brisk, tropical and circus-like, just the wine I would serve with raw oysters on the half-shell. Light straw, green color; dried sage, citrus in the nose, quite fine; medium bodied, textured on the palate; dry, nice acidity, well balanced; edge, dried fruit flavors, black olives, tapenade; medium finish, crisp aftertaste. Drinks so well now. (Tasted: September 29, 2015, San Francisco, CA)”
