Skyline In Historic Montreal

A View Of Place Jacques Cartier Montréal

Hello Everyone,

How was your week? Our time in Montreal was wonderful — the old historic district reminds me so much of Europe. We loved staying at the Lofts du Vieux-Port, enjoying breakfast and coffee out in the mornings and amazing dinners just metres away from our Hotel that we called home for a few days. The food and wine in each restaurant at which dined was excellent. I am not fluent in French, (I do understand when listening to a conversation but find myself not interacting in case I make a mistake) but I do know the basic pleasantries and courtesies as any seasoned traveller would, my daughter on the other hand, was exchanging salutations and conversing in French without any shyness — far beyond her years. I took so many photos on my camera and phone that I was continually running out of storage space, so I kept having to upload them to my iCloud. I was completely in awe inside the Notre-Dame Basilica – I could have spent most of a day inside exploring and taking photographs, visiting the Château Ramezay Museum and house was like stepping back in time. The weather was perfect with sunny blue skies, brisk mornings, light breezes and cool calm nights.

Happy Weekend,

Leonie xx
