We love Spring! Leading up to our favorite season we get new shipments everyday and we can’t wait to unpack them and show everyone. The store is always full of brand new items and we get to play around with new colors and materials. As always, we like easy to wear and pair pieces. We’re not much for fuss. We think our Spring items this year are some of the best they have ever been. We chose some really pretty items that can be worn day to day and look polished and put together.
If you are re-vamping your spring wardrobe or just need a few pieces to spruce it up here are our top Spring Trends!
Nice Things Tops At Mint Boutique
Colour Blocked Tops
We love having a top in our closet that is easy to throw on and makes an outfit, colour block tops are the answer. Instead of adding layers to make a look complete we really feel that a classic colour blocked top becomes the focal point of any outfit and can stand on it’s own. These two tops are from one of our favourite brands, Nice Things. You can pair either of these with a great denim or try a dress pant if you want to heighten the look a little.
Jacket-Noa Noa, Top-Splendid, Jeans-7 for all Mankind, Boots-Heel Boy, Skirt-Black Orchid At Mint Boutique
Denim on Denim
Denim on denim is an absolute Mint favourite probably because we love anything that even resembles denim. It’s an edgier look but it’s really easy to pull off, if you’re looking to up your outfit game a little or take risks this is definitely the way to start. You can wear a pair of jeans with a denim top or tunic and finish it off with an espadrille or little boot, if a full Canadian Tuxedo is not for you then we suggest pairing a light blue top with your jeans to stay in that same colour family. This is our Spring take on dressing in monochromatic hues, the picture is of the lovely blogger ‘thatgirlmurphy’ wearing a Mint Boutique denim outfit.
Floral Pants-Lisette, Floral Top-White Stuff At Mint Boutique
As Meryl Streep said in The Devil Wears Prada: “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” But what’s the point in changing something that works, right? This year we chose florals that weren’t so obvious, a bit more muted and deconstructed. We have floral patterned pants and tops…although we do not recommend mixing them together. Floral pants are a fun addition to any plain white tee while a nice floral top is the perfect choice for your Sunday brunch.
Sleeveless Top-Nice Things, Long Sleeve Top-Splendid At Mint Boutique
We’re calling them button-ups because a ‘blouse’ sounds a bit too dressy, we think every closet should have a few staple button ups. A great button up top worn open over a tank is the easiest thing to throw on if you’re not feeling very inspired in the morning, you could always button it up and tuck it into your favourite jeans as well. These are great transitional pieces because they offer you the ease of an addition layer and can be worn through every season. This year a Spring trend is definitely a button up with some sort of pattern on it, we have everything from plaid to little bees to tiny flowers.
