Kindness is defined as the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. When I think of kindness, I think of being gentle, warm, concerned, affectionate and caring. Being kind doesn’t always come easy for people. It in fact requires courage and strength to be genuine towards others, to put yourself own self aside and do unto others.

In a world full of so much selfishness, anger and hate I choose to spread positivity and kindness however I can. I try to affiliate myself with people and organizations that look to bring awareness of love and kindness. I’ve realized that the biggest impact that I can have is performing daily acts of kindness myself and showing those around me to do the same. There are two people in my life that I can make the biggest impact on. They impact the future generations, the individuals they see everyday, they are my children.

The example that I lead every day is what they will see and duplicate. It is my goal that in this crazy world that my children will too share daily simple random acts of kindness. Holding the door open, help carry a heavy load, a smile and wishing someone a good day, a thank you or a genuine compliment. The list goes on. Good manners and kindness go a long way and somewhere we have lost that importance along the way.

In a world where you can choose to be anything, choose be kind and spread the message wherever you go. Start a daily ripple effect of kindness. As Gandhi said “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
