I am a huge fan of smoothies because they are healthy, delicious, and easy to prepare, especially if you’re in a rush. There are a lot of reasons to include smoothies in your day, but here are three great ones!
- Our bodies are begging to be detoxified from the thousands of man-made chemicals that bombard us each day. Adding detoxifying foods like leafy green vegetables to your smoothies gives your digestive system a break while aiding your body’s detoxification processes.
- We all need to consume plenty of dietary fiber to ensure good digestive health, but this can sometimes cause constipation and indigestion. Smoothies made in a blender can ease this burden on your system by “chewing” your food.
- When we supply our body with the minerals and vitamins it requires, it will respond by growing healthy and radiant skin, hair, and nails. Now that’s beautiful!
6 Cups Of Greens – Kale, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Romaine, Collards Etc. TIP: Baby Greens Are Softer & More Tender
Approximately 6 Cups Liquid – I Like Coconut Water But You Can Add Water
1 Handful Raw Almonds – About 8-10
2 Tablespoon Hemp Seed
2 Apples, Cored – Not Peeled & chopped OR 1 Cup Frozen Chopped Pineapple Or Pears
2 Lemons, Peeled & Quartered
1 Tablespoon Ginger, Peeled And Chopped
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
Put all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend on high until all ingredients are thoroughly blended and smooth.
Note: I always add essential oils to this smoothie! Try adding spearmint or peppermint. It’s amazing! Also, ginger, orange, lemon, and the Slim and Sassy Essential Oil metabolic blend from dōTERRA are great ones to try.
