Christmas Candles Burning
Sitting here at this very moment writing, it’s 5.14 am on December 23, my daughter is upstairs in my bed peacefully sleeping and my sweet husband unfortunately is back in the hospital for the foreseeable future. The lit fireplace in our kitchen is giving the whole room a beautiful glow and the fragrant scent from my hot rose & hibiscus tea is comforting in the familiarity. The Christmas carols have been playing on repeat here for weeks along with my constantly twinkling Christmas tree, if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that gratitude no matter the situation is of utmost importance. So while this Christmas unfolding is not the one I planned, I am immensely grateful that my family and I are surrounded by loving and kind friends, Edgar &Marleny, who have helped out ‘above and beyond’ and especially my neighbours Vanessa & Josh and Shaun & Melodie. We are so very blessed to have you as part of our lives.
It has been an incredible year at The Elegant Luxe Life, and as I bid you all farewell for the holidays (until January 2), I wanted to tell you that every single one of you played a huge part in that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support, emails, and sharing & reading our little part of the world everyday. I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and an amazing New Year. I look forward to “seeing & sharing ” with you all in 2017.
