Hello Everyone,

How was your week? Do you have plans for the weekend?

I decided to take my own advice after Tuesday post How To Clean Out Your Entire Closet In Less Than 1 Hour  and I detoxed my wardrobe. It resulted in 4 large bags of items leaving my closet, 2 bags to be donated to the Clothesline Program and the other 2 bags I am taking this afternoon to my local consignment store. I have had great success over years selling items at high end consignment establishments. Personally, I find the whole process of cleaning out my closet very therapeutic and love the results of more space with the added bonus of re-discovering a few garments that I might have forgotten about. A chance re-organization of our linen amoire, unearthed a stash of fabric which I had been saving (which is my way of saying – I had forgotten where I had hidden it away) to sew new cushion covers for our downstairs family room happened on Wednesday, some sewing will be on my calendar next weekend.

My Christmas decorating starts this weekend, bright and early Saturday morning, hopefully by the evening all with be completed including all the string lights. I have allocated Sunday for making Christmas puddings and cakes with the all the fruit and peel I have been soaking for the previous 4 weeks. My plan on Sunday is to also see most of my ‘almost done’ Christmas shopping wrapped and under the Christmas tree. It is only 5 weeks till Christmas, and I know to some I am starting my decorating a bit early but my daughter is very excited to decorate the tree and place out the nativity scene, I so love this holiday season that I very happy to be in the midst of everything.

Happy Weekend,

Leonie xx
